MOOD FESTIVAL: Chinese people have celebrated the Mood Festival for centuries. On this day, families toast to unity, harmony, and each other's company. The full moon, a perfect circle in the sky, symbolizes totality, wholeness, and original perfection. No matter where you're from, Cambridge International Academy wishes everyone health and happiness during this festive time. Did you know? Traditionally duing the Moon Festival, people of the Guangdong Province would craft their own bamboo laterns, light a candle inside, and hang them onto roofs or tall trees. The higher the latern, the more fortune it brings. As villages fill with seas of candlelight, grandparents gift their grandchildren laterns with a little flag on top, hoping the little onles will grow up healthy and strong. |
