About this Camp
Cambridge International Academy’s summer program mixes Academics, Hands-On Learning and a variety of fun activities to keep students engaged over the summer months. Our program is designed to mitigate against summer learning loss while tapping into students' knowledge and interests. With a special focus on literacy and numeracy activities, students are given the opportunity to catch up or reach ahead in preparation for the next school year.

Programs & Activites

Monday-Thursday morning : Language&Math
|
Using Puzzles, Games, Digital Media, Performances and Presentations, students will engage in fun literacy activities with a weekly focus on Poetry, Vocabulary, Media Literacy and Creative Writing to build a love for reading and writing.

Coding and hands-on manipulatives will drive this program where students will cover one strand per week in Number Sense, Algebra, Geometry and Financial Literacy with the objective of sharpening up / enhancing their Numeracy Skills and making math learning fun.

Monday -Thursday afternoons: music, art, web design, 3D printing, robotics and more

Budding musicians will develop their skills in a variety of instruments including Piano,Guitar, Violin, hand drums
|
Creative minds and hands will demonstrate their aesthetic appreciation and talents as they delve into art activities including painting on canvas, clay sculptures, tie dye, crafts, digital art and much more.

Using Scratch and CoderZ platform to teach basic and intermediate coding skills to create and solve problems that are applicable in daily activities.

Using Javascript, CSS,HTML to design a personalize sketchbook.
|
3D printing is a modern way of manufacturing three dimensional solid objects from a digital file. Bringing your digital idea to life using the least possible material isn’t only cool, it is the future of many industries.

Your child will explore programming and design to create a functional robot. They will use design thinking and engineering thinking to creatively solve a real-world inspired problem.

All day Friday: Outdoor activities
|
One day a week we will be heading out on an outdoor adventure. Hikes in the Rouge, Birdwatching, Tree-Top Trekking, and The Metro Zoo, are all plans in the works to ensure that our campers get a well-rounded experience that keeps their minds and bodies active.

Teachers and students volunteers lead various activities, including: Walks to the local Park/Basketball/Board Games/Chess/Music etc.
